Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
Turn Out International is on a global mission to transform how the world sees ballet dancers from just performers to the Elite ATHLETES as they are!

Our Story
Turn Out International has the most unlikely origin story. It all started on a soccer field in Tyler, Texas.
Yes, I'm that soccer mom. You know the type: competitive, slightly aggressive, armed with a collapsible chair, orange slices, and an unwavering belief that my kid deserves more playing time. I proudly Jerry Maguire'd my way through nine years of cutthroat youth soccer. From U9 in Texas to U19 across multiple state lines and continents. Strategically navigating team politics and bargaining to help my daughter be seen by coaches to secure her a Division I soccer scholarship. Mission accomplished!
Then there was daughter number three. At age 8, she was clearly more musically inclined and more dainty than the other two daughters had been at her age.. So naturally, I did what any soccer mom would do: I put her in "a little bit of dance" and registered her for a lot of soccer.
Until one day at a small dance studio in Sandy Springs, Georgia, a former New York City Ballet Ballerina looked at my daughter and told me, "That girl needs to be in ballet 24/7." She spoke these words with all the usual New York authority and authenticity, delivered with her swan-like presence. I was undoubtedly outmatched and acquiesced willingly. Ballet 24/7 it was, and this is where the seeds of Turn Out International were sown. I watched as my tiny ballet dancer was putting in the sweat equity time, exerting herself to exhaustion, and always wanting more, just like my soccer player. So, I reverted back to my soccer mom ways and treated her like an athlete. I was amazed that the rest of the world was not seeing, treating, or respecting her or her fellow ballet dancers as respected Athletes!
Ballet dancers do not need a ball or an apparatus or water an environment, they only need their finely trained bodies doing things that require the strength, stamina, and flexibility of Olympic Athletes! My goal is to raise awareness and change this outdated and underrated perception of the Ballet ATHLETE!
